The importance of continuing to grow and innovate

We consider research and innovation to be crucial to the company’s progress. Finding new developments that provide new solutions for our customers is essential for us to compete.

For some years now, SEBIR has been committed to developing new solutions to our customers’ problems. In this regard, our technical department works with the most prestigious Spanish universities and technology centres.

At SEBIR we are pioneers of new lubrication techniques. Firstly, we have innovated with the launch of phosphate-free wires for cold stamping. This TSF© wire (drawn without phosphate) is free of phosphate content, as we guarantee it will be 0.0%. Secondly, we have created high deformation phosphates (PHP©) by means of high-pressure injection systems for lubricants.

PHOSPHATE-FREE WIRE DRAWING

It completely eliminates phosphate and any other surface coating and, at the same time, facilitates the deformation of complex parts up to a diameter of 6.5 mm.

Completely eliminates phosphate by means of a mineral-based surface coating, which is completely soluble in cleaning processes and allows complex parts up to Ø 27 mm to be deformed.

Avoids the formation of delta ferrite during our customers’ heat treatment processes (quenching and tempering) and eliminates the need for phosphating in our facilities. Reduces the CO2 equivalent by 83.4 kg / Ton of wire.

TSF© 2: Phosphate-free drawing (0.0%) 

Similar to TSF©1, it avoids the formation of delta ferrite during our customers’ heat treatment processes (quenching and tempering) and eliminates the need for phosphating prior to the heat treatment processes. In addition, it reduces the CO2 equivalent by 48.4 kg / ton of wire.

HIGH DEFORMATION PHOSPHATES

PHP©: high deformation phosphates 

These are wires that allow very high deformations using phosphate-based technology and taking advantage of high-pressure injection systems for lubricants, which results in increased lubrication that allows the manufacture of very complex parts and minimises the die consumption, making it a more sustainable product.
