Our coating options for cold stamping
Surface treatment is a vital stage of cold stamping processes. Thanks to lubrication, we prevent seizure of the product during stamping and extrusion.
At SEBIR we offer different coating options depending on customer specifications.
Classic phosphate process
Our automatic bath line offers great flexibility in its programming, so that it is possible to combine phosphate coating with various items such as reactive sodium stearate, polymer and carrier salts.
The automatic process control thus allows for different coating options:
- Phosphate + Soap
- Phosphate + Salts
- Phosphate + Polymer
- Polymer without phosphate
- Thermo-coating
- Semi-glossy
Coating by final drawing or skinpass
At SEBIR we are pioneers of new lubrication techniques thanks to a final drawing process that has enabled us to market two groundbreaking products.
TSF©: PHOSPHATE-FREE DRAWING (0.0%)
This is a new sustainable technology developed by SEBIR for cold drawing without added phosphates. An alternative that reduces industrial and environmental costs.
PHP©: PHOSPHATED WIRES FOR HIGH DEFORMATION
Phosphated high deformation wires (PHP©) are ideal for highly complex parts. By injecting sodium soap at high pressure, this product achieves coating values of more than 80%.
